Shikatani Lacroix Design (SLD), a strategic design agency based in Toronto, Ontario, has announced that they will be uniting with their sister company, SLDNXT. To coincide with the partnership, SLD has unveiled a new corporate identity that will further establish them as a global leader in retail design.
SLD is uniquely positioned to combine their proven Think Blink process with the pioneering technology and insights of SLDNXT. With over three decades of experience and a refined focus on the retail industry, SLD will continue to deliver transformational change for brands, from packaging and environmental design to graphics and digital.
“The rebranding of Shikatani Lacroix and addition of SLDNXT brings clarity and focus to our organization,” says president, Jean-Pierre Lacroix. “As a company that is dedicated to making retail relevant and engaging, this announcement reinforces the essential role that digital and retail play in building stronger customer experiences.”
With offices in Toronto, Chicago and Shanghai, SLD’s new logo and identity allows for a cohesive brand that translates globally. The new square shaped logo symbolizes SLD’s commitment to breaking out of the box, and also represents the inclusivity that defines the company. Though the shape itself is strong and confident, it is contrasted by the inviting nature of lowercase type. An updated shade of orange, which serves as SLD’s brand color, gives a fresh and modern feel to the overall redesign.
“The longevity of SLD is a testament to our talented team and supportive clients,” says Lacroix. “We are extremely excited to be moving forward as a unified company.”
