On Friday, March 24, Shikatani Lacroix client China Zheshang Bank celebrated the unveiling of its newly redesigned flagship bank branch in Beijing. The award-winning new concept, conceived by Shikatani Lacroix in partnership with strategic branding consultancy MetaThink, uses cutting edge research and technology to meet consumer needs in one of China’s largest banks.
Richard Dirstein, Principal and EVP of Design and Innovation at Shikatani Lacroix, was on hand at the launch party to speak about the concept and its significance in the rapidly changing financial services industry.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to join in on the launch event,” said Richard. “Although the concept has already been rolled out in CZ Bank’s community branches in Chengdu and Hangzhou, introducing it to the flagship location represents an enormous amount of satisfaction with the final product. It was thrilling to see how well this massive project has come together.”
Shikatani Lacroix pioneered the blending of augmented reality, virtual reality, and neuroscience to test multiple concepts for the bank and understand how consumers emotionally responded to different designs. These results were used to refine and create a vibrant new bank branch with integrated digital experiences to engage visitors and help them navigate the space.
