The 69th annual GOOD DESIGN Award winners have been announced, and SLD is proud to have been recognized in the Environments category for the Nu Skin flagship store. Located in Shenzhen, China, the state-of-the–art experience center incorporates Nu Skin’s history and high-quality products.
“Winning a GOOD DESIGN Award is a great way to cap off an exciting 2019,” says Jean-Pierre Lacroix, President of SLD. “As one of the oldest and most prestigious awards for design excellence and innovation, we are honored to be a part of the class of 2019.”
Founded in 1950, “the emphasis of the GOOD DESIGN program is on quality design of the highest form, function, and aesthetics.” With categories ranging from robotics and medical to children’s products and transportation, 2019 saw over 900 product design and graphics submitted from 47 countries.
“The Nu Skin project brought together our talented teams in Canada and China to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience,” says Richard Dirstein, EVP, Creative & Innovation. “It allowed us to showcase our strategy and design thinking and integrate both digital and physical within a retail setting.”
The flagship experience center previously won Best Retail ICX at the Elevate Awards, Bronze at the 2019 DSE APEX Awards and has been inducted into the Retail Design Institute’s Class of 2018.
